Polamalu, Steelers Agree To Extension Through 2014
PITTSBURGH (KDKA/AP) – The Pittsburgh Steelers locked up another key members of their defense on Saturday.
According to the Associated Press, safety Troy Polamalu signed an extension that will keep him in Pittsburgh through the 2014 season.
Financial terms of the deal were not released, but Polamalu was slated to make $6.4 million this year.
Polamalu was the NFL's Defensive Player of the Year last season with one sack and 64 tackles.
Polamalu is the fourth Steeler defensive starter to get a new contract from the club, joining cornerback Ike Taylor and linebackers LaMarr Woodley and Lawrence Timmons.
