Polamalu, Defense Takes Beating In Ugly Upset
PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) -- On an already unfortunate day, it's somewhat fitting safety Troy Polamalu hinted he may have suffered yet another lower-body injury, though he made no suggestion it was a serious one.
"I'm not sure yet," Polamalu told 93.7 The Fan's Eric Hagman after their 34-24 loss to San Diego. "All I can tell you is, I felt good enough to finish the game, and I was well enough to do that, thank God."
Polamalu said his collision with fellow defensive back Keenan Lewis had nothing to do with the alleged ailment.
"By all phases we didn't play well, not to take any credit away from them," Polamalu added. "They made plays when they had to, and we didn't."
The All-Pro offered further reaction to the loss, saying his team is still in the driver's seat as the postseason nears:
