Plum Senior High School Placed On Lockdown Thursday Morning
PLUM (KDKA) - A Plum high school was locked down Thursday morning, due to remarks a student overheard about a gun.
Plum Borough Police were immediately called and officers conducted a building-wide check. The investigation turned no evidence of a threat to the school, and the lockdown was lifted.

Late this morning, a high school student reported overhearing remarks about a gun without knowing the context. As with any report, we took necessary and precautionary measures and immediately contacted local law enforcement.
The purpose of this message is not to alarm you but to let you know that all reports of this nature are taken seriously and we worked with law enforcement to determine its credibility and ensure the safety of all students and staff.
Law enforcement, along with District staff, conducted necessary interviews and completed a thorough building-wide check. The investigation revealed no weapons, threats, or harms of any nature. Normal school activities have resumed.
