PlayStation Vs. XBox: Is One Better Than The Other?
PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) - It's a question as old as the ages; well, as old as a few weeks. What is better - the Xbox One or PlayStation 4?
Chances are, you or someone you know wants one of these for the holidays.
KDKA Radio's Larry Richert and John Shumway talked to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's "Game Guy" Max Parker to get his take on both brand new game systems.
The first thing most people want to know is how much does it cost? Is one more expensive than the other?
"There's a $100 price difference between the PlayStation 4 and the XBox One," said Parker. "The Xbox One costs $500 while the PlayStation 4 costs $400. Video games are getting to be an expensive habit."
You may be asking yourself, "My child already has a PlayStation or XBox. Why do they need another one?"
Parker says it's the way technology advances; it advances quickly.
Parker says the good things "about console gaming is they last for a pretty long time. The last XBox came out eight years ago."
He goes on to say, "If you go out and buy an XBox One or PlayStation 4 you can expect to keep it there in your living room for a long time."
Both game systems have their advantages, so what do you get with the extra $100 you spend on the XBox One? Parker says you get a camera that is "always watching and listening. It can hear what you're saying you can control the whole system with your voice."
Parker says that games are not included with either system and it costs about $60 for a game. He adds that older system games won't work on the new systems.
"XBox 360 games will only work on the 360 and same with PlayStation 3," he said.
