Pittsburgh Steelers Ring A Bell For A Running Back
PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) --- With their second round pick selected, the Pittsburgh Steelers chose Michigan State running back Le'Veon Bell. Bell led the Big Ten in rushing in 2012 with 1793 yards, fifth most in the nation.
The Steelers list Bell as 6'1" 244 pounds, but he told reporters he now weights 230 and will play at whatever weight the team wants.
Offensive coordinator, Todd Haley says for a big back, Bell can get outside. Haley also says he has good hands and called him "a three down back."
Bell played in a pro style offense, and because of that, Haley says, "I would expect him to get into the mix and be a factor."
Bell was the second running back that the Steelers added on Friday.
The team also signed free agent LaRod Stephens-Howling, a former Pitt Panther, who spent four seasons with the Arizona Cardinals.
