Pittsburgh Police Seek Help To Find Armed Robber
SHADYSIDE (KDKA) – Pittsburgh Police are investigating two armed robberies that they believe were committed by the same person.
Police say in both incidents the suspect enters the store around the time it opens and then demands money from the safe.
The first robbery occurred at the Family Dollar on Shakespeare Street in Shadyside on Sept. 14th.
Officials say the suspect entered the Family Dollar as it opened and demanded money from the safe.
The second robbery happened in the 400-block of 56th Street in Lawrenceville on Thursday night.
The suspect was talking on his cell phone while he committed the crime.
Police describe the suspect as an African American male, 5'9" to 5"11, with a small build.
The suspect was wearing a mask and gloves and was carrying a gun.
