Pittsburgh Man Climbs Mt. Kilimanjaro, Holds Up 'Stronger Than Hate' Shirt To Honor Tree Of Life Victims
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - A local man has made it to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa, and he's honoring the victims of the Tree of Life Synagogue shooting.
After months of training and six days of climbing, Douglas Pingree of Pittsburgh got to the summit on Sunday.
He and his guide held up a "Stronger than Hate" t-shirt.
Last October, 11 people were killed in the Tree of Life massacre.
