Coronavirus Closures: Pittsburgh Colfax K-8, Woodland Hills Intermediate, St. Bede Schools Closed Due To Possible Coronavirus Exposure
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Pittsburgh Colfax K-8 School will be closed on Thursday after a student may have been exposed to the coronavirus, the district said.
According to Pittsburgh Public Schools, the student may have been exposed to the virus from a relative outside of school.
They closed the school out of an abundance of caution so the operations team can clean the school. The school is being cleaned with the district's electrostatic machine.

Later in the morning, around 10, KDKA received word that Woodland Hills Intermediate School was canceling classes and sending students home early, because of a connection to a staff member at Colfax.
KDKA's Lisa Washington spoke to the Woodland Hills superintendent who says a student at the intermediate school has a parent who is a staff member at Pittsburgh Colfax.
Thursday afternoon, St. Bede School announced that it's closing Friday through Monday for sanitization because St. Bede School "community members" have relatives enrolled in Colfax.

KDKA reached out to Pittsburgh Public Schools. We expect an update from them this afternoon.
KDKA also reached out to the Allegheny Department of Health. A spokesman told KDKA's Lisa Washington they can only offer guidance to the schools on what to do, to help combat coronavirus. They cannot make decisions for them.
There are currently no cases of coronavirus in Allegheny County.
