PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh's Bus Rapid Transit project will get help from the most recent stimulus package.
The American Rescue Plan provided $250 million to build public transport -- including more than $19 million for Pittsburgh.
The project will connect downtown Pittsburgh and Oakland, with dedicated bus lanes on Fifth and Forbes Avenues.
Crews have started to do utility work.
Construction could start by the end of the year.
