Pittsburgh Auditions To Air On Idol Tonight
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Season 11 of the hit television show "American Idol" premiered last night with a lot of good talent coming out of Savannah, Georgia; but tonight's episode could feature some local faces!
Last summer thousands of Idol hopefuls lined up at Heinz Field for a chance at stardom. After two rounds of auditions, the show's host, Ryan Seacrest, and celebrity judges Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler descended upon the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in September in search of finalists.
The show featuring those Pittsburgh auditions will air at 8 p.m. tonight on FOX.
Based on what Lopez told KDKA in the fall, things could get interesting. "We were commenting how everybody was fighting us," Lopez said. "We had a lot of fighters who wouldn't go down, so maybe it has something to do with the fact that this is the City of Champions -- they're not going down without a fight."
