Pitt Tackle Clemmings Heading To NFL Combine
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Projected as a first-round draft pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, Pitt offensive tackle T.J. Clemmings will be heading to Indianapolis from Feb. 17-23 for the 2015 NFL Scouting Combine.
Clemmings will be one of over 300 college players participating in this year's combine.
Clemmings came to Pitt as a defensive lineman, making the transition to the other side of the ball before his junior season, where he has certainly made a name for himself.
NFL Network draft analyst Mike Mayock rated Clemmings the number one offensive tackle in this year's draft.
Clemmings will have another chance to impress the NFL scouts at Pitt's Pro Day, which will be held on March 3.
If Clemmings were to be drafted in the first round, that would mark the second straight year a Pitt player has been drafted that high. Defensive tackle Aaron Donald was taken No. 13 overall by the St. Louis Rams last year.
In the history of Pitt football, the program has had 25 players drafted in the first round.
