Pitt RB James Conner Earns National Recognition For Duke Performance
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Just days after being named a semifinalist for the Maxwell College Football Player of the Year Award, Pitt running back James Conner has earned more national Maxwell Award recognition.
After rushing for a career-high 263 yards and three touchdowns on 38 carries in a 51-48 loss to ACC opponent Duke, Conner was awarded the Maxwell National Player of the Week for the second time this year.

Conner was previously honored with this award after his 214-yard performance in a 30-20 victory over Boston College.
Conner currently leads the country with 1,342 rushing yards and ranks third nationally with 17 rushing touchdowns.
The Panthers will be back in action on Saturday, Nov. 15 as they look to earn another ACC victory when they travel to North Carolina to take on the Tar Heels.
