Pitt QB Coach Todd Dodge Talks Tino Sunseri
PITTSBURGH (SportsRadio 93-7 The FAN) -- Pitt Football Quarterbacks Coach Todd Dodge joined Joe Starkey and Josh Miller of Seibel, Starkey and Miller to help preview the season opener against Buffalo coming up this Saturday.
Todd evaluated the camp of starting QB Tino Sunseri and how confident they are in him to lead this team. Todd said Tino's arm is in as good of shape as any QB he has ever worked with and is such a great fit for what they want to do with this offense. In Todd's eyes, Tino's greatest strength is his deep ball and accuracy.
The offense installed by the new coaching staff is very complex, and Todd told us they have been able to install about 85 percent of their total playbook thanks to Tino's constant studying of the game.
Todd also weighed in on the weapons that Tino will have at his disposal when they take the field Saturday at 6 p.m. against Buffalo to kick off the season.
