Pitt QB Coach Brooks Bollinger Talks Tom Savage & Previews Navy
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan)- Pitt quarterbacks coach Brooks Bollinger tells The Fan Morning Show that he is happy with the progress that Tom Savage is making.
"He is impressive," Bollinger said. "He can make any throw. He has a great arm, but sometimes your greatest strength can be your biggest weakness."
He can sometimes get in trouble when trying to throw into a tight window. Bollinger laughs and admits that he never had that problem during his college and NFL career.
Bollinger said that Savage has all of the talent and ability and is the type of guy you would want in your room.
Bollinger also had some fun at the expense of himself talking about his own career saying that a guy his size feared every team in the NFL.
"If I was ever asked to take a steroids test, I would send them a Polaroid with my shirt off," Bollinger said. "That will take care of that."
Pitt will travel to Navy on Saturday and Bollinger said they will have a real test awaiting them. He said anytime you play a team like Navy that runs the option, the clock keeps moving and you have to take advantage of each possession you have because you won't get many.
