Pitt Players Anxiously Anticipating Season Opener Against Florida State
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Pitt wide receiver Devin Street and defensive lineman Aaron Donald are two of the teams leaders this upcoming season, and you can count them amongst the group of people excited about the team opening the season with Florida State.
Donald said he's excited to open the season with Florida State, because it shows they're willing to take on those types of teams right at the start of the year.
"It's exciting," he said. "I know it's going to be a big game, and we're going to prepare for it the best way we know how. We're just going to be ready for the game when it's time to put those pads on."
Street talked about the potential impact of quarterback Tom Savage if he's named the starter next year and how he throws one of the best balls he's ever seen.
"I think he's a leader," he said. "Just how guys have responded to him already is tremendous. He's definitely taken a leadership role through the off-season workouts."
With the NFL Combine going on, we asked the guys what drills actually matter when it comes to evaluating a players talent.
