Pitt Football Sets Future Games With SEC Opponent
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - With an opening on their future schedule, the Pitt football program has scheduled a home-and-home with an SEC opponent.
On Sept. 11, 2021, the Pitt football program will travel to Knoxville, Tennessee, to take on the Tennessee Volunteers.
Tennessee will then come to Heinz Field for a matchup on Sept. 10, 2022.
The Panthers and Volunteers have met on the field just twice before with Pitt coming out on top in both games, 30-6 in 1980 and 13-3 in 1983, both games taking place at Tennessee.
According to 247Sports.com, Tennessee had the number four recruiting class in the nation this year after coming off a 7-6 season in 2014.
