Pitt Fans Weigh In On Todd Graham Hire
OAKLAND (KDKA) -- Students and fans on Pitt's campus are reacting to the announcement of a new head football coach.
Technically, Todd Graham will be the Panthers' third head coach in a month's time.
Dave Wannstedt resigned under pressure in December. Mike Haywood was hired – then fired – after his domestic violence arrest and now there's Graham.
"Bottom line is it sounds like they did a little more homework this time and may be coming through with a better candidate," Pitt fan Chris Shelby told KDKA's Kym Gable. "I'm really looking forward to it."
Student Casey Pacifico added, "I'm just hoping for all the best. We have a good football team with a lot of potential. I think if we have the right coaching staff, we'll be ready to go."
Graham had two formal interviews with Pitt officials and he also met with the chancellor. The news conference to formally introduce Graham is set for 3:30 p.m.
