Pitt Drops To No. 4 In AP Rankings
PITTSBURGH (KDKA/AP) - Ohio State is still unbeaten and was selected as the unanimous No. 1 in the AP Top 25 poll. It's the third-straight week OSU is in the top spot.
After Ohio State, Kansas and Texas were the only teams to not lose last week and they were rewarded for it.
Both moved up four spots and are second and third respectively.
Pitt, ranked second last week, dropped to fourth after a loss to then No. 15 Notre Dame.
Duke, UConn, San Diego State, BYU, Notre Dame and Kentucky round out the top 10.
The Big East remains the most dominant conference with eight teams in the Top 25. Joining Pitt, UConn and Notre Dame are Villanova (No. 12), Georgetown (No. 13), Louisville (No. 15), Syracuse (No. 17) and West Virginia (No. 25).
Arizona, Utah State, North Carolina and West Virginia are newcomers to the rankings this week. They replace Illinois, Florida State, Florida and Michigan State in the Top 25.
