Jabaal Sheard, senior starting defensive end for Pitt, has been arrested and subsequently suspended from team activities following an altercation Sunday.
The Post Gazette's Paul Zeise reports that Sheard was allegedly involved in an altercation on the South Side early Sunday morning. He was charged with felony aggravated assault, two misdemeanors including criminal mischief and resisting arrest, as well as disorderly conduct. The Panthers have suspended Sheard indefinitely.
Sheard started every game for the Panthers last season and led the team with 12 quarterback hurries to go along with 5 sacks.
