Pitt Analysts Comb Through Aftermath Of Loss To Wichita St.
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Former Panther Julius Page and Post-Gazette Panthers' beat writer Ray Fittipaldo joined Starkey, Miller and Mueller to diagnose where things went wrong for the Panthers in the NCAA Tournament and what the future holds for the program as head coach Jamie Dixon is being brought up as a possible candidate for the USC job.
Page talked about the Panthers' loss and said the other teams appear to be hungrier and won't just lay down because they're the lower seed. We also got his thoughts on what he'd do different with the Panthers offense to make things work.
"We run a lot of pick and rolls," he said. "I don't feel that the personnel is there for the pick and roll offense."

Fittipaldo joined the guys and talked about Jamie Dixon's future at Pitt and what his gut feeling is.
On top of that, Fittipaldo discussed what the constant speculation about Dixon leaving does for the program.
"I think he should get out in front of these things so there's not this constant speculation about the Pitt basketball position," he said. "If he really wants to get a better foothold on recruiting, I think this constant speculation year in and year out, it doesn't do him any good, it certainly doesn't do the university any good."
