Pirates Welcome Sgt. Doug Vitale To Marlins Game
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Pirates are welcoming Sgt. Doug Vitale to tonight's game against the Miami Marlins.
Vitale and his wife had some quality time with pitcher Jeff Karstens as they observed batting practice.
The couple just arrived home this past week after spending two years in Florida where Vitale had extensive therapy for wounds suffered in Afghanistan.
The benefit concert to raise money for a new home for Sgt. Vitale is this Friday.
Actor Gary Sinise and his "Lt. Dan Band" will perform at Stage AE Aug. 9.
