Pirates Trade Zach Duke To Diamondbacks
PITTSBURGH (KDKA/AP) -- The Pirates have traded Zach Duke.
The left-handed pitcher is headed to the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The Pirates have yet to name the player they will get in return.
Duke was 8-15 with a 5.72 ERA in his final year as a Pirate.
Duke is 37-68 with a 4.80 ERA since debuting with an 8-2 record and 1.81 ERA in 2005. The Pirates chose not to bring back the Duke, who was eligible for arbitration, partly because they projected he might be awarded as much as $6 million.
