Pirates Trade For Outfielder

The Pittsburgh Pirates acquired outfielder Mitch Jones from the Atlanta Braves in exchange for cash.
Jones, 32, batted .250 and belted 18 home runs for the Gwinnett Braves, Atlanta's Triple-A Affiliate. He will report to the Pirates Triple-A squad in Indianapolis.
Jones has appeared eight major league games with the Los Angeles Dodgers before signing a minor league deal with the Braves in November. He also spent parts of the 2007 and 2008 seasons with the Nippon Ham Fighters of Japan's Pacific League.
