Pirates Set Wild Card Game Roster
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - The Pirates have announced their roster for the National League Wild Card Game against the San Francisco Giants and there are a few surprises.
The Pirates have five rookies on the roster highlighted by reliever John Holdzkom, who has taken the league by storm since his call-up in September.
The four other rookies are reliever Bobby LaFromboise, catcher Tony Sanchez and outfielders Gregory Polanco and Andrew Lambo.
Also of note on the roster, the Pirates will have two regular starters available to them out of the bullpen as both Vance Worley and Jeff Locke made the roster.
