Pirates Reassign Taillon, 2 Others To Minor League Camp
BRADENTON, Fla. (KDKA) – Spring Training continues to roll on for the Pittsburgh Pirates, but the Opening Day roster is starting to take shape.
On Monday, the Pirates made several roster moves and one may come as a bit of a surprise to some.
Top pitching prospect Jameson Taillon has been reassigned to minor league camp, which means he won't be on the roster for Opening Day.
Matt Hague and Carlos Paulino were also reassigned to minor league camp.
The Pirates also made the following moves:
- Alen Henson has been optioned to Altoona
- Joely Rodriguez has been optioned to Altoona
- Casey Sadler has been optioned to Indianapolis
These moves leave the Pirates with 53 payers in their major league camp.
