Pirates' Jones Ready To Start The Season
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Pirates' outfielder Garrett Jones joined the FAN Morning Show from Bradenton to talk about the progress of spring training.
Jones says he is ready for the season to start, but is trying to remain focused on getting in his preparation work. He said manager Clint Hurdle brings a lot of energy to the team, and the players are excited to be playing for him.
Jones calls the younger players (Jose Tabata, Neil Walker, Andrew McCutchen and Pedro Alvarez) the future of the Pirates team and has seen a lot of progress from last year.
He predicts that Walker will have a great year at the plate despite a tough spring training.
