Pirates Claim Josh Lindblom From Athletics
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - The Pirates have announced the claiming of right-handed pitcher Josh Lindblom from the Oakland Athletics.
Lindblom was 4-3 with a 5.79 ERA in 17 appearances (16 starts) last year with the Athletics AAA affiliate. Lindblom made one start in the majors last year throwing 4.2 innings and giving up two runs.
Since breaking into the majors, Lindblom has posted a career record of 5-8 with one save and a 3.82 ERA in 100 appearances between Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Texas and Oakland.
In addition to claiming Lindblom, the Pirates have announced that right-handed pitcher Angel Sanchez has been outrighted to AAA Indianapolis.
