Pirates Announce 25-Man Roster For Wild Card Game
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Playoff baseball returns to the 'Burgh tonight for the first time since 1992.
The Pittsburgh Pirates will host their first-ever playoff game at PNC Park with the first pitch coming at 8:07 p.m.
Their opponent? Their NL Central Division rival Cincinnati Reds.
Francisco Liriano (16-8, 3.02 ERA) will take the mound for the Pirates in tonight's win or go home Wild Card matchup. Liriano enters tonight's contest with an 8-1 record to go along with a 1.47 ERA at PNC Park this season.
The Reds will counter with Johnny Cueto (5-2, 2.82 ERA).
