Pirates Acquire OF Ryan Ludwick From Padres
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Pittsburgh Pirates were quiet leading up to the MLB Trade Deadline, but managed to pull off their second deal in as many days Sunday afternoon.
The Pirates acquired outfielder Ryan Ludwick from the San Diego Padres for a player to be named later.
Ludwick's batting average is only .238, but he has 11 home runs and 64 RBI this season.
Ludwick broke into the league in 2002 with the Texas Rangers and holds a career batting average of .262.
In 752 career games, Ludwick has 115 home runs and 439 RBI.
