Steelers: Roethlisberger's Foot Injury Not New
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- There are some conflicting reports about the severity of Ben Roethlisberger's foot injury.
Despite previous reports, that the Steelers quarterback had sprained his foot, Steelers Insider Ed Bouchette with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette first reported on Thursday that the fifth metatarsal bone in Roethlisberger's right foot is broken.
The Steelers, however, released a "clarification" of Bouchette's report.
Steelers spokesman Dave Lockett released a statement late yesterday, saying that the problem with Roethlisberger's foot isn't new.
"Ben's current injury is an aggravation of an old injury where scar tissue is present," he said.
Roethlisberger is still expected to play in the Baltimore game Sunday night. He has been practicing this week with a special boot for his foot.
