Peters Twp. Fire Leaves 1 Dead
PETERS TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – An early morning fire in Washington County claimed the life of one man.
According to our news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the fire happened at a home in the 2700-block of Locust Drive in Peters Township around 6:45 a.m.
Firefighters were able to get the man out of the burning home. However, he was transported to Canonsburg General Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The man has been identified as 80-year-old Robert McLaughlin.
One other person inside the home was able to get out safely.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
