Pens Win 4-3 In OT, Take Series

The Penguins rallied to beat the Senators 4-3 in overtime with a goal by Pascal Dupuis to advance to the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Trailing 3-0 in the second period, the Pens crawled back on a goal by Matt Cooke to get within two.  The Senators appeared to make it 4-1, but the goal was disallowed after a review proved that the net was off its moorings before the puck crossed the goal line.

Pittsburgh closed the gap to 1 on a goal by Bill Guerin early in the third and tied it when Matt Cooke notched his second of the night.

Pascal Dupuis scored on a pass from Jordan Staal just under ten minutes into overtime to win both the game and the series for the Pens.

Their second round opponent and schedule have yet to be determined.
