Pens Top Sens, 6-3
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The Penguins put together an impressive win over the Ottawa Senators, beating them 6-3 Friday night.
Ottawa's Kaspars Daugavins' backhander put the Senators up 1-0 at 1:19 in the first.
The Pens then started a rally with goals from Chris Kunitz, Tyler Kennedy, Steve Sullivan (power play) and Evgeni Malkin, giving them a 4-1 lead by the end of the period.
Pascal Dupuis made it 5-1 at 3:45 in the second. The Sens' Jared Cowen managed to get a slap shot past Marc-Andre Fleury, who had 24 saves, to make it 5-2.
Jordan Staal came through with a goal at 8:41 in the third to make it 6-2.
Eric Contra's wrister made it 6-3.
Sidney Crosby raised his point total this season to seven after tallying three assists.
