Pens Beat Habs, 5-2
MONTREAL (KDKA/AP) -- The Penguins shook off their three-game skid and picked up a win on the road, beating the Montreal Canadiens, 5-2.
This is the first game they've won since Sidney Crosby has been out after suffering a mild concussion.
Alex Goligoski scored on a slap shot with assists from Chris Kunitz and Mark Letestu at 12:57 in the first period.
Montreal tied it less than a minute later when Tomas Plekanec got a wrist shot past Marc-Andre Fleury.
The Habs took the lead to make it 2-1 at 2:15 in the second period after David Desharnais scored.
But the Penguins pulled through, making four power play goals to get the win.
Tyler Kennedy scored at 4:12 in the second on a snap shot set up by Kris Letang and Jordan Staal.
Staal got a goal on a breakaway with just 11 seconds left in the second to make it 3-2.
In the third, Alex Goligoski scored with assists from Staal and Letang at 2:33 and Chris Kunitz finished off the scoring with a slap shot past Carey Price at 11:29.
Fleury had 20 saves, while Price stopped 31 of 36 shots on goal.
