Pens Recall Eric Tangradi
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — With injuries mounting, the Pittsburgh Penguins recalled forward Eric Tangradi from the team's AHL affiliate, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
Tangradi has played four games for the Penguins so far this season but has yet to register a point. He has three career points in 20 NHL games (one goal, two assists).
Tangradi was recalled because of recent injury announcements of Jordan Staal and James Neal. You can read about them here.
Craig Adams went down with an apparent knee injury in Sunday's practice, furthering the need for Tangradi's call up.
The Penguins play Ottawa tonight at 7 p.m. at Consol Energy Center.
