Pens Lose Nick Johnson
Pittsburgh (KDKA)- A day after failing to make the Pittsburgh Penguins roster, Nick Johnson finds himself with a new team.
The Minnesota Wild and former Pens assistant Mike Yeo have claimed Johnson off waivers.
The 25-year old played 10 games with the Penguins, recording two goals and three assists. He spent most of the past four seasons with the American Hockey League's Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
In speaking to the Minnesota media, Yeo said,"He's a big body, moves well and protects the puck well. I've heard really good things about him."
If Johnson doesn't make Minnesota's roster, he'll have to go thru the waiver process again.
