Pens, Flyers Battling For Atlantic Division Title
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - The historic rivalry between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Philadelphia Flyers will have another chapter written Tuesday night.
The Pens now trail the Flyers by just two points for first place in the Atlantic Division. Following their 2-1 shootout win over Florida Sunday afternoon, the Pens now have 98 points, while the Flyers have 100 points.
However, the Flyers have one game in hand over the Penguins.
Regardless of if they're able to catch the Flyers, the Pens are playing better hockey right now and are finally getting healthy.
Defenseman Brooks Orpik returned to the lineup against the Panthers after missing the previous 13 games with a broken finger.
The team is also getting some forwards back as Aaron Asham and Mike Comrie are back in the lineup, while Mark Letestu is close to returning.
Here is the remaining schedule for both teams:
Pens: Flyers, at Tampa Bay, at Florida, New Jersey, at New York Islanders, at Atlanta
Flyers: at Pens, Atlanta, at New Jersey, New York Rangers, at Ottawa, at Buffalo, New York Islanders
