A goal by Matt Carkner just over 7 minutes into the third overtime period gave the Senators a 4-3 victory, forcing game 6 and a return to Ottawa.

Mike Fisher and Jarkko Ruutu opened the scoring to give the Senators an early 2-0 lead.  Pittsburgh goals by Kris Letang and Chris Kunitz tied the game up and Sidney Crosby scored to give the Pens the lead midway through the 3rd period.  Senator Peter Regin scored just over a minute later to tie the game and ultimately send it to overtime.

The Penguins and Senators were at a stalemate until Carkner's wrist shot from the point found its way to the back of the net in what was the longest playoff game this postseason.

Crosby's goal coupled with an assist gives him multiple points in all 5 postseason games.

Game 6 will be played Saturday night in Ottawa.
