PennDOT Hiring For Winter Maintenance Program

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) -- PennDOT hires temporary workers to supplement the permanent workforce from September through April.

The jobs range from equipment operators, mechanics, and trades helpers to clerks and typists. Most hires are Transportation Equipment Operators, which requires a Commercial Drivers License as well as some experience.

Applicants will be tested during the interview process, and must also undergo pre-employment drug tests and random drug and alcohol tests.
