Penn State Officials Talk Possible Beaver Stadium Renovation
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) - Penn State officials say they'd prefer to renovate Beaver Stadium instead of rebuilding the 107,000-seat facility.
University Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Athletic Director Phil Esten made the comments Thursday at a luncheon with members of the Chamber of Business and Industry of Centre County.
He says the university is discussing adding improved amenities like updated bathrooms, more concessions and better wireless Internet access. Officials say they're also looking at other ways to use the stadium to increase its revenue stream.

Esten says building a new stadium isn't off the table. But officials say it isn't the goal.
The university is expecting to have the results of a facilities master plan in July. The plan will look at all of Penn State's athletic venues.
