Penn State Loses Punter To Appendectomy
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (KDKA/AP) - Another member of the Penn State football team is out of the lineup.
Punter Anthony Fera is out indefinitely after having an appendectomy on Wednesday.
It is unknown when the redshirt freshman can return to practice. Alex Butterworth, who is the freshman backup, will start in Saturday's game.
Fera was averaging 42 yards per punt.
Starting linebacker Michael Mauti, who has an injured right shoulder, could miss Saturday's game against Indiana.
