Penguins' Morrow Eager To Win First Cup
PITTSBURGH (93.7 THE FAN)--The Penguins will begin their playoff run on Wednesday night, hosting the New York Islanders in the first round. It will be the first playoff run as a Penguin for Brenden Morrow. To talk about it, Morrow joined the Fan Morning Show on Tuesday.
Morrow waived a no-movement clause to allow himself to be traded to the Penguins at the deadline. He tells the guys that playing for the Penguins is possibly even better than he expected.
"I think it's the depth players that have surprised me," Morrow said of just how much talent is on the team.
It has been five years since Morrow has been to the playoffs, as his former team, the Dallas Stars has fallen short for a half decade. He tells us that players always have post-season jitters and butterflies. But, this year there could be more because it has been even longer since he played in the Finals when the Stars fell short of winning the Cup in 2000.
