Penguins Add Forward

The Penguins have signed forward Aaron Asham to a one-year deal worth $700,000.

Asham netted 10 goals and 14 assists last season with the Philadelphia Flyers, as well as 4 goals and 3 assists in the playoffs.  The physical forward racked up 126 penalty minutes, playing mostly on the fourth line.

Prior to his last two seasons in Philadelphia, Asham spent time with Montreal, the New York Islanders, and New Jersey.  He has 82 goals, 97 assists, and 818 penalty minutes in 648 NHL games.
