Penguins Acquire Zolnierczyk From Ducks
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Pittsburgh Penguins completed a trade Monday afternoon with the Anaheim Ducks.
According to the team's official website, the Penguins have acquired Harry Zolnierczyk from the Anaheim Ducks for defenseman Alex Grant.
Prior to the NHL Trade Deadline, Zolnierczyk was traded to the Ducks from Philadelphia for Jay Rosehill.
In seven games with the Flyers this season, Zolnierczyk recorded one assist and 36 penalty minutes. However, he spent much of the season in the American Hockey League with the Adirondack Phantoms and Norfolk Admirals.
In 61 games in the AHL this year, he scored 11 goals and added eight assists with 68 penalty minutes.
In 46 games with the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins, Grant registered four goals and 16 assists. He also added two goals and two assists in 13 Calder Cup playoff games.
