Pedro To Make First Base Debut, McCutchen Close To Returning
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - While the team has admitted to working with Third Baseman Pedro Alvarez on a move to First Base, we haven't seen that happen in a game, but that all changes on Monday night as the Pirates welcome the Atlanta Braves.
With the lineup being released late Monday afternoon, Pedro Alvarez saw his name written in at the five-spot in the batting order with the first base designation next to it.
Brent Morel will play third base with Pedro making the move.
Meanwhile, injured MVP Andrew McCutchen, out since Aug. 5 with a fractured rib, has said he expects to be activated off the disabled list and put back in the lineup for Tuesday's game.
Here's the #Pirates lineup for tonight.
