Paul Chryst Talks About Making The Best Of Loss To Iowa
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – Pitt football head coach Paul Chryst joined "The Fan Morning Show" on Thursday for his regular weekly spot with the Panthers set to take on Akron at Heinz Field on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
Chryst feels that his team has done a good job of responding to the Iowa loss.
"I thought the reactions were appropriate," Chryst said. "It's always good to come back and as much as you don't want to and players don't want to see the film, you do want to see the things that you can control, the things that you can correct, the things where you can grow. That's what also gives you hope, and I think guys see that."
Chryst isn't worried about Akron being a trap game following a big game against Iowa.
"The last thing on our minds, and I believe our players' minds, is a trap game," Chryst said. "I mean, we just lost our last game, you know, and it was hard, and there were some things we feel like in this building we could have done better or different or cleaner that may have affected that outcome. You don't play the game anywhere but in the stadium at that time, and records don't matter, what they did the week before doesn't matter."
Chryst joins "The Fan Morning Show" Thursdays at 7:20 a.m.
