Pat Bostick Previews Pitt-Virginia
PITTSBURGH (KDKA 93-7 The Fan)- The Pitt Panthers enter their game at Virginia on a two game losing streak.
Starting tackle Adam Bisnowaty will be suspended for the game for disciplinary reasons, and his likely replacement will be Jaryd Jones-Smith. Despite the crowd noise, Pitt broadcaster Pat Bostick told Bob Pompeani that he doesn't think that there will be a drop off against Virginia's pass rushers.
"They're very mobile guys and Jaryd's very athletic and has long arms that can keep those guys running the outside circle away from the quarterback. So if he comes up and plays tonight, I don't think Pitt will skip a beat in terms of their pass protection, I really don't," Bostick said.
Bostick gave Pompeani two keys for the Panthers to be successful.
"I think it's going to be a game that's predicated on special teams play; Virginia's very good in that department," Bostick said. He added, "You can't give this team any gifts. You cannot turn the football over. If Pitt's able to do that and is in a close ballgame, I think they've got a better chance to win."
