Passing Cold Front Triggers Storms In Viewing Area
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Severe weather returned to the area today, bringing heavy rain, high winds, thunder and lightning, and hail.
According to KDKA-TV Meteorologist Ron Smiley, storms with the potential for damaging winds were impacting the northern part of the state early Tuesday morning.
However, when a cold front passed through this morning, it set off some storms around 11 a.m. Those storms are expected to wrap up later today with dryer conditions expected until Thursday.
Today's high is expected to be about 82 degrees.
Wednesday is expected to be dry with a high of 81.
Our next chance for rain will move in on Thursday.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect for Somerset County until 5:00 p.m.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 10 p.m. for parts of western Maryland, southeast Ohio, western Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
A Flash Flood Warning is in effect until 6 p.m. for Allegheny and Washington counties.
