Pa's Top Prospect Names Final 7

Pittsburgh (KDKA)- Noah Spence, the #1 high school football recruit in the state of Pennsylvania for the upcoming season, has announced his seven finalists.

Scout.com was the first to report that Spence had cut his long list of scholarship offers down to seven.

Not surprisingly, the Pitt Panthers didn't make the cut but Joe Paterno and Penn State did.

The defensive end from Bishop McDevitt (Harrisburg, Pa.) has Penn State, North Carolina, Florida, N.C. State, Notre Dame, Maryland, and Southern Cal as his finalists.

he 6-4, 245-pound Spence is rated as the No. 3 weak-side defensive end and No. 13 overall prospect in the country.

Last season, Spence recorded 104 tackles and 22 sacks.

Bishop McDevitt is the high school of former Pitt and current Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy and former Pitt commitment Jameel Poteat.
