Panthers' Tray Woodall Says Pitt Hoops Has Come Too Far To Storm The Court
PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) -- Pitt shooting guard Tray Woodall joined Starkey and Miller with Chris Mueller to talk about the Panthers' play in the Big East so far this year amongst other college hoops topics.
We opened things up with Woodall asking him how he would feel if Pitt fans rushed the court like Miami's fans did last night after their win over Duke.
Woodall said Pitt has gotten to the point where fans should expect them to win any game, so storming the court should be out of the question because nobody should be that surprised when they win.
We also talked about Pitt's 4-3 start in Big East play, and Woodall attributed their improved defense to their better play as of late.
Woodall also helped us take a look into the game of center Steven Adams after the start he got off to against Providence. Woodall said he thought we were about to see a 20-20 game from Adams before he got in foul trouble, but it served to show what the big man is capable of.
Woodall also talked about Adams future at Pitt and if he expects him to stay beyond this year.
We wrapped things up with Woodall talking about his confidence in taking last second shots, and trusting his teammates to hit them when the defense looks to shut him down.
